The Story
Lirac is one of 16 named appellations in Southern Rhone that are permitted to use the name of Cru without the need to include 'Cotes du Rhone'. Chateauneuf du Pape is of course the most famous of the Cru appellations. This vintage is a 70/20/10 Grenache / Syrah / Mourvedre blend.
"Mont-Redon is unequivocally one of the very greatest handful of producers in CdP, and is making world class wines of breathtaking complexity and profundity." John Gilman - View from the Cellar
