First planted in 1969, Warramate was one of the first 4 vineyards planted in the Yarra Valley. It's Maddens Lane address is certainly dress circle stuff being home to local greats such as Yarra Yering and Coldstream Hills. Indeed next door neighbour Yarra Yering acquired Warramate nearly a decade ago but the brand (& price points!) have been retained. YY drinking for the fiscally challenged!
Would be interesting to know how much Warramate fruit finds its way 'next door' these days!
